Paste papers are a beautifully decorative paper that is often used in Bookbinding for covers and end papers, or in collage and other art projects.
This surface design technique is easy to learn and uses materials and simple tools that can be found around the house.
Using a pre-prepared paint and paste mixture, participants will learn how to create different decorative effects that can be recreated and expanded on at home. This workshop is suited to all levels.
Children over 13 are welcome in the workshop if they come with a participating adult .
Participants should bring an apron, and at the end of the workshop will take home their own Paste Papers to use in their creative journey.
Sarah, Kerrie and Paul are all members of the Queensland Bookbinders Guild and have spent a lot of time experimenting in different ways to create paste papers.
